FAQs About working with flux studio & gallery
Here are some common questions about our pottery studio.
-
Absolutely.
Flux Studio & Gallery is designed for beginners and experienced makers alike. Many of our students walk through the door having never touched clay before.
Our instructors guide you step by step, creating a welcoming, encouraging environment where you can learn at your own pace.
No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
-
Clay can get messy—in the best way.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Closed-toe shoes are encouraged.
Aprons are always welcome, but not required.
Most importantly: wear something comfortable enough to create in.
-
Private lessons and private events include glazing handled by Flux Studio & Gallery instructors.
Participants choose their glaze colors, and we take care of the finishing process.
Private lesson participants can generally expect finished work back within approximately 2 weeks.
For our 6-week classes and studio members, students glaze their own work as part of the learning experience.
Bisque firing is included.
Glaze firing begins at $10 per piece.
For 6-week classes, we stay in close communication throughout the firing process and provide updates as kiln loads are completed.
Ceramics is handmade and kiln-fired work can be unpredictable, but we take great care with every piece.
-
Class registrations, private lessons, and private events are non-refundable.
