An old Flux favorite is back.
There’s something pretty great about starting your Saturday with a cup of coffee, a pastry, and three hours at the pottery wheel.
Clay & Coffee is our six-week Saturday morning All-SKILL LEVEL wheel-throwing class for all skill levels. Whether you’ve never touched clay before or you’re an experienced potter looking for more time at the wheel, we’ll meet you where you are and help you continue building your skills.
The first five weeks are all about working with wet clay. You’ll learn and practice throwing, trimming, handles, attachments, and more, with plenty of individual instruction along the way. Week six is dedicated to glazing your finished work.
And because it’s Saturday morning, we’ll keep the coffee flowing. Each class includes coffee, a selection of teas, fresh fruit, and pastries to enjoy before and throughout class.
Everything You Need Is Included
Your $299 registration includes unlimited use of clay during class, tools and studio materials, bisque firing, and professional instruction. New students will also receive their own complimentary pottery tool kit.
Glaze firing is the only additional cost and starts at $10 per piece, so you only pay to fire the pieces you choose to keep.
You’ll also receive two complimentary Open Studio sessions during the six-week rotation, giving you extra time in the studio to practice, experiment, or work on something of your own.
Classes are intentionally limited to 15 students, and when the class is full, you’ll have two instructors in the studio to make sure everyone gets plenty of individual attention.
